A Facebook ad boycott made waves - but it's having very little financial impact on the social media giant

Facebook's advertising revenue will only grow by 10% through October, the company predicted Thursday.
That's down from 17% in the first quarter thanks to a litany of impacts, including a high-profile advertiser boycott.
Major spenders including Walmart, Coca-Cola, and Starbucks stopped buying Facebook ads earlier this year in protest of hate speech on the platform.

McDonald's employees may call the police on a customer who refuses to wear a mask, McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski said.
McDonald's announced a mask mandate after weeks of reports concerning harassment and abuse directed at its workers by customers who refused to wear masks.
Although many major retailers announced mask mandates, those policies don't help employees deal with violent and aggressive customers. That's where law enforcement could come in.

Mark Zuckerberg said there's "no end in sight" for when Facebook employees will return to the office.
On a call with analysts Thursday following Facebook's second-quarter earnings report , Zuckerberg said he expects the rest of the year to be "unpredictable" and called the US government's response to the coronavirus "disappointing."
Facebook initially planned to start sending employees back to the office on July 6, but never confirmed it had pushed back its reopening date. Google, which also had a July 6 reopening date, told employees this week that they could...
