Join America's most beloved storytellers in a beautiful mountain lakeside setting. Let these talented artists take you to other times and places through the art of storytelling. Stories from a variety of regions and cultures are told in large tents on the shore of Cave Run Lake at the Twin Knobs Recreation Area in the Daniel Boone National Forest, eight miles west of Morehead, Kentucky. 2017 storytellers are: DONALD DAVIS, LINDA GORHAM, BILL HARLEY, BARBARA MCBRIDE-SMITH, MOTOKO, ANTONIO ROCHA, and ED STIVENDER

feast on mouthwatering hickory-smoked meats at Barbecue on the River!
Celebrating its 23rd
year, this annual festival brings together competitive spirit, hunger for
barbecue and desire to give back to the community. Over $400,000 is raised for
charity, over 40,000 people are fed and more than 80,000 pounds of pork and chicken
are cooked! Local vendors, from master grillers to churches and community
