The Hoteliers Association of Kullu-Manali has urged the state government hold a meeting in Manali town to promote sustainable tourism.
The hoteliers said that ever since the Covid-19 outbreak in the state in March last year, the tourism industry of Kullu-Manali has been unpredictable. Anup Thakur, the president of the Hoteliers Association, Kullu-Manali said, “The tourism industry, especially travel and hospitality sectors, have been affected badly. As a result, the tourism sector has been on the back foot”.

The World Travel & Tourism Council sent an open letter to the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson during the weekend, urging him to adopt a COVID-19 exit strategy for saving tourism.
