Hoteliers Association of Kullu-Manali urges state government to hold a meeting in Manali for sustainable tourism
The Hoteliers Association of Kullu-Manali has urged the state government hold a meeting in Manali town to promote sustainable tourism.
The hoteliers said that ever since the Covid-19 outbreak in the state in March last year, the tourism industry of Kullu-Manali has been unpredictable. Anup Thakur, the president of the Hoteliers Association, Kullu-Manali said, “The tourism industry, especially travel and hospitality sectors, have been affected badly. As a result, the tourism sector has been on the back foot”.

WTTC sends open letter to the UK Prime Minister urging for COVID-19 exit strategy
The World Travel & Tourism Council sent an open letter to the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson during the weekend, urging him to adopt a COVID-19 exit strategy for saving tourism.
The letter carries relevance for most countries in Asia that are still struggling with lockdowns or stringent quarantine regulations. It presents four key fundamentals. The purpose is to establish an international mobility framework removing restrictions like quarantine.
