Landing gear issues force emergency landing of Air New Zealand

An aircraft of Air New Zealand was compelled to make an emergency landing following a complication in its landing gear. Actually, the landing gear was not able to retract while the plane was mid-flight.
Thereafter, emergency services were summoned to Palmerston North Airport about 10.30 a.m. on Thursday.
A spokeswoman of Air New Zealand said that flight NZ5106 that had set out for Auckland from Palmerston North about 9.55 a.m. had been returning on account of an issue involving one of its hydraulics systems.
