South Africa set to open borders to international tourists in October

South Africa has finally decided to reopen its borders to international tourists in October for the first time since its closure back in March. The President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, officially announced the decision and mentioned that the country will ease restrictions on international travel gradually and cautiously and allow travel into and out of South Africa for business, leisure and other travel starting October 1, 2020.
Therefore, South Africa's reopening will include both inbound and outbound tourism, and allow nationals to travel abroad and tourists to enter the country...

Although the Himachal state government has opened the borders for tourists in Himachal Pradesh permitting all types of activities including adventure sports like paragliding, the state's tourism industry is still under adversity amid Covid-19 pandemic.
Those involved in the tourism industry in Mcleodganj said that tourists are not that willing to venture out of their homes or travel to places due to Covid-19. Hoteliers, taxi travelers or people related to adventure sports activities have virtually become jobless.

In just two and half months after Goa reopened its borders for visitors amidst the COVID-19 pandemic for renewing its diminishing tourism industry, the State witnessed visitors who took advantage of this opportunity to engage in unlawful activities, acts that led to further blemish the image of Brand Goa.
