The southern states which at one point of time had fought to preserve racial segregation are currently banding together in order to endorse civil rights tourism at locations like the motel where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. died, building where the Confederacy was born and other historical landmarks.
Fourteen states spreading from Kansas to Delaware, comprising the Deep South, are partnering together to promote the U.S. Civil Rights Trail, which will draw attention to 130 sites having connection with modern civil rights movement. This joint attempt will be considered as part of the MLK...
