East India's weekend destination, Debjharan to be developed as eco-tourism site

The Odisha State government plans to develop Debjharan as an eco-tourism site in order to attract both national and international tourists.
Debjharan is located around 30 km from Sambalpur city, and famous for its waterfall. The Sambalpur District Collector Samarth Verma said the State Government of Odisha has already accorded administrative approval for development of Debjharan under Jujumura block in the district at an estimated cost of `94 lakh. The Forest Department of Odisha had earlier submitted a proposal in this regard.

The Central Government of India has sanctioned Rs 1,800 crore for tourism development projects in north Indian state, Himachal Pradesh which would go a long way in making the state a major tourist destination.
While addressing a public meeting at Garagushaini in Kullu district after laying foundation stone for the Science Lab block of the Government Senior Secondary School, , Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the tourism efforts would be made to develop the lesser known an unexplored tourism destinations from tourism point of view.
