Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Officials pinpoints powerful growth in the third quarters

For the first time in fifteen years, Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Officials reported that this independent Commonwealth country has shown the strongest visitor arrivals by air from January to June , overall with significant increases in the main source markets for the destination: US, Canada, UK and Caribbean. This represents an overall +7% growth from 2017. The closest the destination previously came to these figures was back in 2008 .

Antigua and Barbuda's tourism product continues to attract thousands to our shores and this is evident as there has been continual growth in visitor arrivals by air and sea throughout 2018.
According to the quarterly visitor arrivals report released by the statistics department within the Ministry of Tourism and Investment, particularly, the third quarter of 2018, encompassing the months of July to September, Antigua and Barbuda saw increases in both air and sea arrivals for the period when compared to 2017.

An already eventful and powerful year for Antigua and Barbuda tourism continues to develop, as per the latest numbers from the twin-island destination's Ministry of Tourism.
Antigua witnessed 52,491 stayover visitors in the third quarter, an 8.56 percent rise in comparison to the same time last year.
That was accompanied by 36 percent rise in cruise passenger arrival, a total of 26,631 passengers. The expansion was driven by almost 12 percent growth from the United States market, which keeps on being the largest feeder market for Antigua and Barbuda tourism.
